Being vulnerable as an entrepeneur

Showing your true self, as an entrepeneur, as a person and as a designer. That is vulnerability to me. I've noticed that in the business world its pretty normal to put on a 'I'm-doing-great-mask'. This is somewhat logical, everybody wants to make a positive first impression. But are there other ways?

The FabLab-truck in Zwolle

From November 11th to november 22nd the mobile FabLab-truck can be found in Zwolle. 12 and 19 November are open days and anyone can go there to experiment with the equipment. More information can be found on the KIZ website.

What is innovation?

What does innovation mean to me as a graphic designer? In the history of graphic design innovation often was linked to technical innovation, an example is the coming of the computer. Before the computer existed everything was done by hand, there was no such thing as Word or Photoshop. For now technique will keep on innovating and graphic design will follow that path.

Besides technical innovation there are other ways to be innovative. Coming up with creative sollutions, brainstorming and out-of-the-box thinking all lead to designs that are different, that are innovative.

Sketching on a date?

Wikipedia: "A sketch is a rapidly executed freehand drawing that is not intended as a finished work. A sketch may serve a number of purpose: it might record something that the artist sees, it might record or develop an idea for later use or it might be used as a quick way of graphically demonstrating an image, idea or principal."
